Vetr App Development
About the Client & Project
The SilverSpoon Agency engaged noloop to build the mobile component of Vetr, a next‑generation telehealth platform for pet owners and veterinarians. Vetr’s mission is to make expert veterinary care accessible, convenient and affordable. Backed by a $21 million strategic investment from Palehorse Capital, the project set out to unify veterinary telehealth, prescription fulfilment and service bookings into one seamless experience. noloop was chosen for our ability to design and deliver a robust cross‑platform mobile application that could scale with Vetr’s ambitious vision.
What We Built
noloop architected, designed and implemented Vetr’s iOS and Android apps from the ground up. Key features we delivered include:
- 24/7 licensed vet access. Users can initiate real‑time chat or video consultations with licensed veterinarians at any time.
- Integrated prescriptions and OTC medications. Pet owners can manage prescriptions and order over‑the‑counter medications directly through the app.
- AI‑powered triage and reminders. An intelligent assistant (Doc AIVA) provides instant guidance, while built‑in reminders track medications, appointments and vaccines.
- Unified pet dashboard. All pets, records and health information live in one place, with smart reminders and tracking.
- Service marketplace. Users can book trusted local services such as grooming, walking and boarding from within the app.
- Tools for vets. Licensed vets can set their own availability, conduct remote consultations, and issue prescriptions. The app includes case summaries, triage tools and one‑click prescriptions.
Throughout development we emphasised intuitive onboarding, secure authentication and high performance. Our modular architecture enables new features to be added quickly and supports testing, remote configuration and continuous delivery.
Societal Impact & Innovation
Vetr addresses pervasive challenges in pet healthcare. For pet owners, it eliminates the chaos of juggling multiple apps, forgotten medications and last‑minute vet visits by uniting real‑time vet access, prescriptions, trusted services and health tracking. For veterinarians, the platform offers autonomy and revenue growth: they can set their own hours and keep full earnings. By enabling remote consultations and offering generic over‑the‑counter medications, Vetr expands access to affordable care in underserved areas and reduces reliance on expensive branded drugs.
Results & Traction
Within a few months of launch, Vetr had amassed over 5 000 users with a 95% satisfaction rate. Thousands of pet parents joined the waitlist because the app combines 24/7 vet chat, prescriptions, reminders and service bookings in a single, user‑friendly interface. Feedback from veterinarians has been similarly enthusiastic: early testers praise the smooth user experience and tools that mirror their real‑world workflow. The $21 million funding round validated Vetr’s business model and underscored investor confidence in the platform’s social impact and growth potential.
